Delete your Stillwell account
Stillwell is made by Afakgun Studio (Ahmet Faruk Akgün). You can ask us to delete your Stillwell account and all data linked to it at any time.
Before you start
If you are the person being looked after, pause Stillwell in the app first and tell your circle. When your account is deleted, nobody will be alerted any more if you go quiet. Uninstalling the app alone does not delete your data, and it looks like silence, which may alert your people.
How to request deletion
- Email [email protected] with the subject "Delete my Stillwell account".
- Send it from the email address you linked in the app ("Protect your account"). If you never linked one, tell us the name shown in the app and your circle's invite code (on the Your people screen), and whether you are the person being looked after or a watcher.
- We may ask one question to make sure the request really comes from you. We then delete your account and confirm by email, within 30 days.
What is deleted
- Person being looked after: your account, name, email, settings, circle and invite code, the people in your circle (including names and numbers you added, and their WhatsApp connection details), your phones, all signs of life, alert timelines and message records.
- Watcher: your account, name, email, phone number, your WhatsApp connection if you set one up, your membership in every circle and your phones.
- We also ask Twilio to delete text message and call records linked to your circle.
What may be kept
- Purchase records, only as long as tax and accounting law requires. Subscriptions are managed by Apple or Google: cancel yours in the App Store or Google Play, because deleting your account does not cancel it.
- Copies in encrypted backups, for a limited time until they are overwritten.
- WhatsApp messages that were already delivered stay in the recipients' WhatsApp, and Meta keeps delivery data under its own terms. We can't have those copies deleted.
- Our email conversation about your request, for up to 2 years, to show that we handled it.
Only want to remove some data?
- Remove a person from your circle: Your people → Remove.
- Stop collecting signs of life: turn off the permissions in your phone's settings, or pause Stillwell.
- Stop WhatsApp messages: reply STOP in the Stillwell chat on WhatsApp.
- Anything else, such as removing your email or phone number: email us and we'll do it.
Signs of life are deleted automatically after 30 days and message records after 90 days. Details: Privacy Policy.

Silme talebi nasıl yapılır
- [email protected] adresine "Stillwell hesabımı silin" konulu bir e-posta gönderin.
- E-postayı uygulamada bağladığınız adresten ("Hesabını koru") gönderin. Hiç e-posta bağlamadıysanız uygulamada görünen adınızı, çemberinizin davet kodunu (Seni bekleyenler ekranında) ve takip edilen kişi mi yoksa yakın mı olduğunuzu yazın.
- Talebin gerçekten sizden geldiğinden emin olmak için bir soru sorabiliriz. Ardından hesabınızı siler ve 30 gün içinde e-postayla bilgi veririz.
Neler silinir
- Takip edilen kişi: hesabınız, adınız, e-postanız, ayarlarınız, çemberiniz ve davet kodu, çemberinizdeki kişiler (eklediğiniz ad ve numaralar ile WhatsApp bağlantı bilgileri dahil), telefonlarınız, tüm hayat belirtileri, uyarı zaman çizelgeleri ve mesaj kayıtları.
- Yakın: hesabınız, adınız, e-postanız, telefon numaranız, kurduysanız WhatsApp bağlantınız, tüm çemberlerdeki üyeliğiniz ve telefonlarınız.
- Çemberinizle ilgili SMS ve arama kayıtlarının silinmesini Twilio'dan da isteriz.
Neler saklanabilir
- Satın alma kayıtları, yalnızca vergi ve muhasebe mevzuatının öngördüğü süre boyunca. Abonelikleri Apple ya da Google yönetir: aboneliğinizi App Store ya da Google Play'den iptal edin, çünkü hesabı silmek aboneliği iptal etmez.
- Şifreli yedeklerdeki kopyalar, üzerine yazılana kadar sınırlı bir süre.
- Teslim edilmiş WhatsApp mesajları alıcıların WhatsApp'ında kalır; Meta da teslim verilerini kendi koşulları çerçevesinde saklar. Bu kopyaları sildiremeyiz.
- Talebinizi yerine getirdiğimizi gösterebilmek için bu taleple ilgili e-posta yazışmamız, en fazla 2 yıl.
